nizza am main restaurant in Frankfurt
|
A mere 5 minutes walk from the main train station you find yourself on Frankfurt’s “Cote d'Azur”. In the late 18th century local affluent families referred to this climatically privileged strip along the river, as Nizza, and chose it to build their representative villas. Then, one still bathed in the Main yet all ended with WW 2.
Decades followed, during which Frankfurt turned its back to the Main, until Autumn 2004 when the 6.8 million Euro sleek, glass and iron, pavilion was built.

Now, under new management - and following a post–opening downfall - life (and glamour!) have returned to the river bank.
The “nizza am main” delights with seriously stunning Mediterranean cuisine. Chefs Thomas John and Andreas Guha are earning “wow’s and hurra’s” from all sides for their creative dishes and their “pate of hare on black-salsify” or “red snapper with a Riesling-foam” are – in all mouths!?. Together with the professional and “unstuffy” service, and a carefully chosen wine selection - mainly of Italian and German origin - it is also the magic dining atmosphere created by the light reflections on the water flooding through high glass panels into the spacious and modern dining area, that makes the “nizza” very unique.
Finally, the “nizza” is an excellent event-location offering a variety of flexible solutions.
