The Dorade is an absolute “el dorado” for fish lovers and it is only a short walk from the main-train-station (HBF). It is tucked away in a newly built office complex on the south Main margin and it is “really buzzy” both at lunchtime and in the evening.

The high glass front ensures an abundance of light and harmonizes with the urban-cool spacy interior. Inside, chef Mohamed El Zein has been producing consistently good results – and earning a lot of superlatives – for his sunny Med cooking! The carefully composed piscine offer is complemented by a few meat and some light pasta dishes. The tuna “Oriental Coach” with wasabi-couscous certainly not an everyday “catch” and the daily-fresh fish-soup is reaching cult-status!

The short, but very “fishy” selection of wines, is strong on Italian and Greek with a couple of Rheingau’s thrown in.

And a big thumbs-up goes also to Dimitrios Kokkinoplitis and his attentive team for “funtastic” service.
