A heaven for vegetarians! A home for halal diners!
The Pistazie is a Persian “jewel” in Frankfurt’s young and trendy Nordend district only a 5 stations and 8 minutes tube ride from the trade-fair grounds or the main-train station. And, the large number of Persian and Middle-Eastern visitors bear witness to its authenticity.
The Pistazie has just been voted by the renowned local publication "Frankfurt Geht Aus 2008" as the best Persian restaurant in town.

Persian cuisine is one of the oldest and richest cuisines in the world – exotic yet simple and not at all spicy. Characteristic of Iranian cuisine is the frequent use of fruits and nuts – often pomegranate or pistachios – in exquisitely flavourable dishes. Commonly used herbs are mint, cumin cloves and coriander. For vegetarians the absolute Nirvana

At the Pistazie the very friendly Asad Danai and his charming wife Azadeh serve a fine and representative selection of well priced and lovingly prepared Persian dishes in an outstanding and relaxed atmosphere. Just the place to enjoy traditional Khorescht (a stew) with Tschelo (no one cooks rice as well as Persians) or Mast-O-Khiar (yogurt with cucumber) The most popular Iranian dish is probably Tschelo Kabab (a skewer of rack of lamb with a fantastic saffron and butter rice) and here it is divine.

A fine selection of wines mainly of German and French origin is offered. Tap beer is Licher.

On Sundays a wonderful oriental brunch is served and not seldom, on weekends a belly-dancer entertains diners. Check in advance.
