Visitors to Frankfurt staying in Bad Soden or neighbouring towns and villages in the Taunus no longer need to travel to Frankfurt to enjoy quality Italian cuisine. The, in summer 2010, opened La Villa is run by Agazio Riitano who has been delighting locals and guests in town since over two decades in his Alte Kanzlei in Frankfurt’s elegant Westend.

Whereas the Alte Kanzlei belongs to the upper-notch of Frankfurt Italians the La Villa is a more relaxed and uncomplicated affair.
Unlike the Alte Kanzlei with it’s classic ambience and elegant décor, the La Villa is more modern and relaxed …. and, unless you are “a crowd”, one can mostly get a place under the vaults, along the bar or on one of the bar-tables even without a reservation.

Fare offered is solid trattoria cuisine using only market fresh ingredients. Absolute highlights are the always dependable and creative daily recommendations. And, like trattorias should be, it serves all the “classic” Italian dishes on request and very open to any special wishes.

The wine list covers most Italian regions and the staff's knowledge of these is way beyond the usual. Same applies to the professional service.
